Rumi for the Road

Posted by Gretchen Helmer on August 31, 2007. Filled under Uncategorized.

Quick note before I take off for ‘the shore’…ok, I’m going to a lake and not the ocean–pffft, details–it’s a great lake.

Rich snippets from Rumi (via my friend Janet) for weekend pondering:

Let the beauty we love be what we do.
There are hundreds of ways to kneel and kiss the
ground.

—–
Out beyond the ideas of wrongdoing and rightdoing,
there is a field. I will meet you there.

When the soul lies down in that grass,
the world is too full to talk about.
Ideas, language, even the phrase each other
doesn’t make any sense.

Here’s to savoring the deliciousness of it all…
