4: if all goes well, a foot of snow between today and the past couple of days. Welcome Winter!

5: new old friends and the joy of laughing for 3 hours straight (for real) over pints and trivia–and Marty’s bottom. Here’s to a diversity of geeks!

6: the fh360 gang who merrily indulged my insistence that they had to see the Mississippi from The Endless Bridge–though it was at least 100 degress below zero.

7: tonight we bottle the mead!

8: communities of individuals I’ve recently stumbled upon who understand they can change the world (that’s the booby prize)–and then actually take action to do it (there’s the juice)! Thanks SALT and MCA and Solutions Twin Cities and the Alliance for Sustainability!

9: Gopher Hockey. I love the Wild and the Avs and hockey in general. There’s something about the air and the excitement at a college game, though. There’s the singing and cheering and spelling (M-I-N-N-E-S-O-T-A…Minnesota…Minnesota…YEAH, GOPHERS! Rah!). There’s the band…oh, and there’s the season tickets on the glass behind the goal…can’t forget that. Thanks Todd!

10: 2008. According to Susan Miller, it will prove to be the best year of my life–yet! Looking forward to every moment and every adventure.

11: Life. Sure, that could sound corny/Pollyanna-ish and that’s fine by me. With all of the stressors and challenges and concerns, there is a greater amount of love and kindness and excitement and good humor to be found–if you’re willing to see it. That. is. super. awesome.
